Tuesday evening farewell Wednesday with colleagues and with friends. Departure the next morning towards the airport Tontouta.
Once in the departure lounge, I look at the stamps on my passport arrived October 8, 2008. That was more than two years ago ... it was yesterday.
A crazy project, arriving in a strange country, an archipelago lost in the Coral Sea, South Pacific, the antipodes, the tropics, turquoise lagoon, the Rock: A Territory to Discover.
Two years later, that we know all of Caledonia would be pretentious, but we traveled the roads, towns and villages, learned the names of islands and islets, trees, flowers, people ...
Here I am on the tarmac, I watch the mountains one last time and my eyes are red. Say I enjoyed the good life Caledonian is a good word low.
Thanks to everyone who shared our life here (in no particular order): Guy, Sophia, Charles, Lionel, Olwen, Mika, Sebastian, Camille, Jess, Julian, Severine, Adeline, Quincy, Charlotte Morgan, Graeme, Vanessa, Cedric John, Leah, 2 Emily, Stephen, Rachel, Audrey, Emma, Julie, Julien, Elodie, and all others. Good luck to all and perhaps soon.
Thanks also to everyone who followed us through this blog for two years. I fly to Perth to join Julian: another country to discover, another ocean. To follow our Australian adventures: http://julienetjulie2.blogspot.com .
That's over.
