Gurujele: That France which pays! That ca too!

We should think more commentary in 1980 but to mourn an ideology Independent, which is more relevant today. Our goal is to reach everybody together. Now everyone is free to understand what he wants [...] Somewhere, it's a bit normal that it is France that pays. It has interests here, she gets the benefits. After it is for us to grow this money, we join hands, do not we just take the money and to put in your pocket [...] Of course, there are people that does not supoportent I sing it because it's actually recognize the importance France. Even if true, this is one of things that should not be saying. But how to say otherwise? Everyone knows that it is France that pays! "

Captain Woodin Part 2 (12.9.2010)

Julie: We retried our luck in the Bay of Prony Sunday, September 12 with Captain Woodin.

And we have not been much luckier than last time. We were unable to observe humpback whales, but a few minutes before it plunges. We have
cons lucky with the weather: still a beautiful sunny day.

Here is your opportunity to talk about the village of Prony. Didier (the owner of the vessel Captain Woodin) owns a house. The village currently has only 2 neighbors Permanent and full of relics from the galleys of Prony. A wall is in ruins elsewhere in the garden of Didier!

"Originally founded in 1867 to supply wood Noumea, it was turned into prison in 1873. One hundred and fifty convicts were sent there before the exiles of the Commune took over in 1887. In 1889, 300 convicts who lived on the site. It was then that the hot springs of the bay were built. In 1907, were relegated Ducos displaced and the village was empty. Then, an iron mine was operated there from 1956 to 1968. "

"
Today the village, patiently restored and is maintained by an association of residents who rebuilt the magazine dating back to 1884. The roots of giant banyan trees have since detained the stone wall sections, once carved by convicts. "

Lifou: diving level 2 (2/09/10-6/09/10)

Julien: As we already mentioned, we decided to spend our level two diving Lifou. More than a year after the closure of the former club of the island, the activity was resumed by Annabella former manager of diving Safari Lagoon Beach Kuendu in Noumea, where we spent our first level that is already close two years! Tawaka, former instructor Kuendu Beach also came to settle in Lifou. Since its installation several months ago, they are also working with Jeff, a diving instructor originally from Lifu. The club is still under construction and Tawaka, after his morning dip, spends his afternoon in pouring cement to build the future of the club bungalows!

8 courses are required to obtain Level 2 and its equivalence ANMP PADI Advanced Open Water. We had arranged with Anabella to pass two courses in Noumea with the new club owner Kuendu Beach. The idea was to have it up exercises to be able to enjoy diving in Lifou. Nouméennes dives have been devoted to the theory and practice between 15 and 20m: dump mask, lungs ballasts, orientation, use the parachute, rigging, lift assisted by a conscious person, orientation, ...

We took off for Lifou September 2, 2010 for 4 days. Program, 6 dives. The first was dedicated to the theoretical background to the rise and assisted by a person unconscious, followed by a 250m swim at the surface with material on the back and 500-m palm snorkeling! The second allowed us to get a few minutes at a depth of 40m before exploring the beautiful Gorgon Valley. Small spot of fun, some divers can experience the thrill of depths from 40 m and for me it has not failed, I was a bit narked. Nothing very serious, and Annabella Julie, who accompanied me also did not notice anything, he just had to ascend a few meters so that the effect dissipates.

The rest of the dives was spent scuba diving (in pairs) at 20m, equipped with our computers and compasses . We have learned to manage the duration of the dive and decide on their own decompression stops to make ...

Visibility in Lifou is extraordinary. The coral, multicolored, is in very good condition and very fish. We have had occasion to observe - from the clown fish, surgeonfish, triggerfish, parrotfish, sharks and white tip reef sharks - a group of three giant tunas as well as tazar and beautiful sea fans. Little more for me, I had the opportunity to see sneak surface a hammerhead shark!

We were settled in beautiful holiday camping at Benedict, located next to the club. Despite the weather, we did little away from the house because the days were filled with diving. However, we had the opportunity to observe many turtles swim Santal Bay since the wharf near the campsite. This pier also serves as the landing of the 2000 Australians on board cruise ships plying the South Pacific. A show that we have not had the opportunity to observe! We also did a nice walk leading to the Chapel of Our Lady of Lourdes and overlooking the bay of Sandalwood.

As always the Loyalties, we took full advantage of the quiet places. We are therefore left with regret but with our level 2 in his pocket. Thank you to Annabella At Tawaka and Jef for their explanations, their professionalism and sympathy. We are very pleased to have chosen to spend our level two with them there. The dives were beautiful there!

Strechy White Cm Before Period

great shark white invites itself among surfers! (5/9/2010)

A large white among surfers

A great white shark "five or six meters," according to eyewitnesses, was invited yesterday morning qualifying heats the Melanesian Cup taking place at Ouano. The Lord of the Seas departed as quietly as he came to train as a senator. This is the third major observation in our white water in three weeks.

Beautiful weather, waves of one meter to four feet, clear water. Yesterday morning, Ouano (La Foa), the password of Uaraï, the weather was perfect. This is where the qualifying races were held in the Melanesian Cup to be held in ten days. After an hour of competition and then a second set of sprites (girls) had just started, a great white shark has come to walk under the judges' boat, placed to the left of the wave. "We were with our shelves by hand, and then all of a sudden, someone yelled:" What is that? ", Pointing to a huge dark mass that was to find three or four meters from the surface," says Dominique, one of the judges. "We're all hypnotized and was stuck for a few seconds before responding." First reflex out of the water two youths who were near the boats, even as the shark came from below them pass quietly enough. Second immediate concern: preventing competitors, located a hundred meters from the boats. "We took the megaphone to shout at them to regroup along the reef, the location of the spot where there is less water," continues Dominique.

Act III: Pick of the moorings and launch boats. "The engine noise does not really seemed to impress him. The shark has had time to come and go, along the boards hung on the back of a boat, "says Dominic. The witnesses at the scene saw the wing - "thirty or forty centimeters "- Flush with the surface of the water. Once the dozen surfers retrieved sea, witnesses have not seen the big shark. "It was just huge. I wonder if the four arms of a man could have done the trick. At the same time, it was moving at a pace very quiet. He was really calm. We saw just waving. Once ashore, after a quarter of an hour's boat, the organizers have obviously decided to stop competing. Enough excitement for the day. Especially for Amaury's son Dominic. On March 6, 2009, had his way crossed that of a great white. It was under his eyes than his buddy Kevin, with whom he surfed at Secret spot Bourail, had died after one fatal shark attack recorded on a surfer in New Caledonia. "Somehow he was able to share his fears with others," concluded his father. This time, it ended well.

Three white shark seen in three weeks

the lagoon is more popular, more observations of shark are likely to multiply. Out of this truism regularly referred to by scientists, the presence of the lord of the seas in our waters seems more and more common. The proof in three weeks, this is the third time a great white is seen at very different places. The weekend of August 15, a helicopter pilot flying over the lagoon in the area of islet N'Go, south-east of the island Ouen. There he spotted a great white, whose size was, in his words, "about half that of the helicopter, which measures eleven meters. The following weekend, another great white shark is photographed in the South in the sector increased from Mato. "From the photos, it would be a female, relatively thin, which had perhaps put down, the clear color," says Philippe Tirard, a specialist from the IRD. The author of these photos did not formally dated déclaré.Son testimony might help inform scientists interested in the question. The third and final observation date can be traced back to this weekend. According to Philippe Tirard, an individual of this size (five to six meters) can easily reach the ton. Statistically speaking, the presence of great whites in New Caledonian waters is higher in September. These large sharks, located atop the food chain, usually living in cold and temperate waters, are known to follow the path of whales.
